Ox Blog is quite serious about getting Arabic copies of The Federalist Papers to the Iraqis (here, here, here and here). But considering the trouble between Poland and Spain, and Germany and France, perhaps it would be a good idea to get copies to Brussels as well. Especially number 22 and 62.
That's an intriguing idea. Of course, I wonder how many Iraqis would actually read them. Maybe they would find more avid readers there since their nation is in the process of constructing a new government. I know almost noone in America reads the Federalist Papers nowadays. :)
Well that's certainly true. Perhaps before sending copies to the Iraq and Brussels we should send them to America's public schools.
I have bored enough people today w/ ConLaw stuff, but I just wanted to say that the Federalist Papers are often brilliant and inspiring bits of American history. Also evident in their text is the pro-federalist propaganda (insert Marxist theory here); it will be interesting to see just how on the nose the Iraqi equivalents will be.
Stop apologizing for your law-related post. It was interesting and not that long. I did have one criticism though. Try writing "within" rathing than "w/i" next time, please. :)
